We were awarded our Travel Mark Level 3 in March 2013 which celebrated the whole school community work on gaining warning flashing lights to slow traffic on the lane, a zebra crossing, a school safety zone and an excellent lollipop lady. Living Streets and British Rail have also supported our journey to safe and sustainable travel.
The start of the academic year of 2014 we worked with the Substrans charity to promote travelling actively to school on foot, on bicycle or on a scooter. We have hosted a free 'Bike It' breakfast and many children are took part in a 'Wheelie Wednesdays' after school club on their bicycles.
Year 6 took part in Bikeability this November to enable them to be safe and seen on the roads. Governors, staff and children are looking forward to an active year ahead.
